home button, and the various functions of the home button will be
replaced with 3D Touch gestures.

Several rumors
claim that Apple will shift from an LCD panel to an OLED panel in the
upcoming iPhone 8. Moreover, just like Samsung’s recent Galaxy flagship
devices, iPhone 8 will feature a flexible panel that curves on either
side at the edges.
Specifications
Apple’s iPhone 8 is going to be
powerful. Maybe, the powerful smartphone ever. Apple is expected to
feature new 10-nanometer A11 Fusion chipset in upcoming iPhone 8, and

Facial Recognition
The reports from Ming-Chi Kuo states that Apple will include a facial recognition feature in iPhone 8. Here’s what the report indicates:
“Judging by the bio-recognition patents
that Apple has applied for, we believe it is leaning toward facial
recognition technology rather than iris recognition. However, we note
that the technical challenges of facial recognition include: (1)
algorithms; (2) hardware design; and (3) the build-out of a database for
verification and authentication, which could be time-consuming. As
such, before Apple can fully replace the fingerprint system with facial
recognition, a combination of the two steps of bio-recognition could be a
valid solution for enhancing transactions security.”
So, adding a facial recognition feature would add another layer of safety to the upcoming iPhone device.
Wireless Charging
We already saw that iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
eliminated the earphone port and introduced wireless AirPods. So, the
rumors also claim that iPhone is testing wireless charging technology.
The technology will let a user charge iPhone wirelessly by a unique base
station from across a room at the distance of up to 15 feet.
