5 Best Features That iPhone ‘Stole’ From Android This Year!
We all know iPhone 7 is here! Apple
introduced some interesting changes in this milestone release. There is
always a tough competition between Android and iOS. Apple and Android
fans use some strong words like “Stole” to distinguish the features
provided by both OS.
Of course, Apple displayed some over the
top innovations and updates to their new operating system, iOS 10.
However, it seems like Apple has almost “borrowed” certain features from
Android, to reinvent them and give them that Apple touch.
1.Dual-camera setup on iPhone 7 Plus
Let’s take a look at the 5 features Apple is late to the party with.
Apple
is using 2 12MP sensors in iPhone 7 Plus one for telephoto photography
and the other for standard. However, the dual camera setup was started
by HTC, HTC introduced Ultrapixel rear Duo camera setup in HTC One M8
following HTC, LG G5 also have dual cameras and now so is Apple.
2.Water Resistant
We
all know Sony has made some water resistant devices in past few years.
Recently, Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and even Galaxy Note 7 have
certified water resistance rating which was released before this year’s
iPhone 7. Even Note 7 beats iPhone 7 in water resistance because iPhone 7
has a dust and water-resistance rating of IP67 whereas Note 7 is rated
at IP68
3.Cordless Earphones
Apple
ditched 3.5mm headphone jack and plans cordless speakers. Samsung’s
Gear IconX is available in the market and it does the same thing Apple’s
AirPods do. Both devices are charged wirelessly, through a case. Both
the smart wearables use gestures for use when paired with Smartphone.
4.Ditched 3.5mm Jack
Well,
Apple might have taken a courageous step to remove the 3.5mm audio jack
from smartphones. However, LeEco Le 2 and Le Max 2 also features a new
audio standard known as Continual Digital Lossless Audio that can
deliver audio over the USB Type-C port.
5.Quad-core Chipset
Apple
had introduced Apple A10 fusion SoC at the even, according to the
company it was the first quad-core processor from the iPhone by Apple.
So, their biggest achievement was its quad-core architecture which
sounds really strange and sad on paper considering we have quad-core
Android phones since 2011. HTC Edge was the first phone to launch
quad-core processor. Apple is 5 years behind when looking at this row of
the spec sheet alone.
So, these are the 5 key features that
Apple copied/improved from other phone makers. Did we miss any other
features in the list? Tell us in the comment section below.
