Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Launched: Perfect Galaxy Note 7 Replacement Wirh Price, Release Date, Specifications,Description and More

We all know that Samsung had just suspended the production of its flagship device known as Galaxy Note 7 because of its explosive nature. We also know that Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has bet a mass release strategy which has already presented some news during the past few months.

Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is expected to release Xiaomi Mi Note 2 this week and the time had come when Xiaomi finally took the ribbon off the Mi Note 2 today. Guess what? The new smartphone from Xiaomi looks similar to Samsung’s ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.

Xiaomi unveiled Note 2 a few hours ago at a Beijing press event, the reason why it was being compared with Samsung’s ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 was because of its curved edges on the screen. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was also one of the first non-Samsung devices to feature an “edge” screen

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 comes with a stylish dual-curved design on both the front and the back. The company is calling Mi Note 2 a two-sided curved design. The display of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a 5.7inch Quad HD OLED panel which is most likely having a flexible display which is encapsulated in the glass.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specifications are quite impressive. It will be running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and is packed up with Snapdragon 821 process which is latest from Qualcomm, It is coupled with 4GB or 6GB Ram (Variant available) along with 64 or 128GB flash storage (Variant available). It comes up with 4,070 mAh battery which supports Quick-charge 3.0.

If we talk about Xiaomi Mi Note 2 camera, it boasts a 22.56MP Sony IMX218 Exmor sensor with a f/2.0 lens. It has a front camera of 8Mp with a Sony IMX268 sensor. Front camera of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 supports auto-focus.

The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be available in three variants: a 4GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage model priced at CNY 2,799 (roughly #. 270,600), a 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model priced at CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs. 32,600), and the Global Edition 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage model priced at CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 34,500). The last has support for global LTE bands (with support for up to 37 LTE bands). The smartphone will be available in Piano Black and Glacial Silver colour variants, and an aluminium build. Xiaomi is also offering a virtual SIM, indicating MVNO support. The smartphone is currently up for pre-orders in China, and goes on sale from November 1.
