Samsung To Reveal Its First ‘Stretchable’ Display Soon

Innovation in the mobile device segment has been one of the main success factors for many products of companies that bet in this area. The future of this segment is uncertain but the path undoubtedly goes through the development of equipment that adapts to the most diverse scenarios and that approach the concept of ubiquitous computing.

At the level of the screens, the advances have been significant and soon we can even have Stretchable screens and the news will come from Samsung.

If until relatively it could be considered as something unreal, the latest indications from Samsung indicate that, soon, we may have mobile devices with elastic OLED screens. After announcing the folding screens, the South Korean tech giant Samsung believes that the future can pass through the elastic screens, thus ensuring maximum flexibility.

As the main difference for folding screens that can only be folded, these new screens can be stretched and then returned to their original shape. Samsung will present this week at the Society for Information Display 2017 , which will take place in Los Angeles 2017, a 9.1 “AMOLED elastic screen, according to the information, it can stretch up to 12 mm without losses with regard to resolution.

At the Korea Heral, Samsung revealed that it will also feature a 1.96” display with Ultra HD 4K (3840×2160) resolution and a density of 2250 ppi and not only that it will be also a 3D OLED screen for virtual reality.
