The new version of Android Nougat 7.1 (Nougat), which arrived earlier this month at Google devices, promised a range of news and new features. Still only available for these models, it will soon be extended to the rest of the Android universe.
But this new version of Android seems to be fraught with problems, at least for Nexus 6P users.
The Nexus 6P, Google’s smartphone created in partnership with Huawei, seems to be the only device of the Nexus line is being affected by the latest Android Nougat problems. These cases began to emerge after Google released this version, which reveals the source of the problem.
This latest Android flaw is causing the Nexus 6P to stop booting, getting indefinitely to display the Google logo and not booting. Many users report this failure, and its description identical in all cases.
“The device boots up to Google Logo and get stuck on that. The Android boot animation NEVER shows up. Clearing cache, factory resetting and loading factory images DO NOT fix the boot loop either”.

Google points to this problem as a hardware failure and urges everyone to contact the points of sale so that the situation is resolved. The strange thing is that the number of these cases grew only after installing the latest version of Android on these smartphones.
Here is what Google stated “We understand that a very small number of users are experiencing a bootloop issue on you device. We are continuing to investigate the situation, but can confirm that this is strictly a hardware related issue. For those of you that are currently experiencing this, please contact your place of purchase for warranty or repair options.
We’re sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patience”.
The problems of Android Nougat 7.1 on the Nexus 6P do not stop at startup. There are also many reports of problems with the battery. Many users report that the batteries, when they reach average values of load, turn off abruptly.

A user called mcirtain commented on the Google statement that “How is it that two separate vendors, Huawei and LG, both have the same issue, which became evident following the same common event, which was a software upgrade?”.
Many users report that there is no set value for this shutdown. Apparently, Android can no longer calculate the value of the battery and turns itself off. Google is already investigating the case and will soon come with a solution to this problem.
Android Nougat 7.1 is experiencing serious problems in recent times, but apparently, this problem is located on the smartphone that Google developed with Huawei, leaving out all other elements of the Nexus family.
